山东老年大学简介
山东老年大学创办于1983年，是中国第一所老年大学。建校三十五年来，学校始终遵循“增长知识、陶冶情操、丰富生活、促进健康、服务社会”办学宗旨，坚持“学养相宜、康乐有为”办学理念，秉持“弘德、尚学、修身、乐为”精神追求，已成为文化养老的重要平台和老年人向往的精神家园。
近年来，山东老年大学不断拓展办学思路，大力实施合作办学，加快发展远程老年教育，开办网络课堂，送教到社区、到家门，把老年大学办在老年人身边。目前，学校已拥有五个校区，六所分校，设有声乐、器乐、美术、舞体、培训五个学院，一个艺术团，开设66个专业700个教学班，注册学员近两万人次,管理人员105名,教师240名。
作为中国第一所老年大学和全国示范校，学校始终把推动老年教育事业发展作为使命和责任，承担着中国老年大学协会宣传出版委员会、远程教育实验区指导中心等工作，是全国老年教育理论研究基地。编写出版了第一套较为齐全的老年大学专用教材，制定了第一部门类最多的老年大学教学大纲，创办了老年人的专属杂志——《老年教育》，成立了在全国享有盛誉的老年艺术团体。
作为山东省老年大学协会会长单位，积极搭建全省老年大学沟通交流平台和推动全省老年大学规范化发展。以山东老年大学为中心，全省已形成了省、市、县、乡、村五级办学网络，全省共有老年大学（学校）6700所，学员近60万人。面对老龄化不断加快新形势，学校提出“一二三四”工作思路，积极谋划转型发展，示范引领文化养老，努力实现从“办得最早到办得最好”的跨越。
学校在提升课堂教学，办好二、三课堂基础上，积极拓展第四课堂——游学课堂，多次组织学员赴韩国、日本、澳大利亚、新西兰等国家和台湾地区游学，开展各类文化交流，受到老年学员的欢迎，不仅丰富了教学活动，满足老年学员更高层次学习需求，也促进了旅游业发展和游学养结合。2015年，学校被省外办确定为“对外文化交流窗口单位”，我们热烈欢迎国内外老年大学学员来我校开展各类游学交流活动。
Introduction to Shandong U3A
Established in 1983, Shandong U3A is the first U3A in China. Starting from its founding 35 years ago, the university has been following the mission “increase knowledge, cultivate sentiments, enrich life, promote health and serve the society” and the educational doctrine “coordinate learning with cultivation, achieve peace and happiness”. It also adheres to the pursuit of spirit “ carry forward traditional virtues, be fond of learning, cultivate moral character and be willing to do”, which all combine to make it an important platform for culturally supporting the aged and a spiritual home for the seniors.
In recent years, Shandong U3A has been expanding educational ideas in vigorously implementing cooperation in running schools, speeding up the development of tele-education for the seniors, opening online classes so as to realize that teaching is available in the community and even each home. At present, it comprises five campuses, one art troupe, six branches with five colleges of vocal music, instrumental music, fine arts, dance and martial arts and training. It operates 66 majors with 700 classes, approximately 20,000 registered students, an managerial personnel of 105 persons and 240 teachers.
As the first university for the seniors and model school in China, it always regards promoting the development of the senior education as its mission and responsibility. It is the national research base of the seniors education theory, serving as the Publicity and Publishing Committee of China Association of the Universities For The Aged(CAUA) and Guidance center in tele-education experimental area. It prepared and published the first series of relatively complete special teaching course books for seniors universities, founded the exclusive magazine of the seniors--- Education For the Seniors and a prestigious art group for the seniors in China.
As the president unit of Shandong Association of the Universities For The Aged, it is active in putting up a communication platform for the seniors universities in Shandong and promoting their normalized development. Centered at Shandong U3A, the province has formed a five-tier network of provincial, municipal, county, township and village schools with 6700 universities for the aged and close to 600,000 students. Faced with the increase of the aging population, the university puts forward the new working ideas “One Two Three Four”, actively plan the transitional development, demonstrate and lead culturally supporting the aged, and strive to realize the leap from” the first to the best”.
Besides improving classroom teaching, running well the second and the third class, the university vigorously develops the fourth class---class of study tours. It has organized many study tours for its students respectively to South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and other countries to conduct cultural exchanges, which is popular among the seniors students. It not only enriches the teaching activities, but it also meets the needs of seniors students in higher learning, combined with promoting the development of tourism and travel and education. It was assigned as “Foreign Cultural Exchange Window Unit” by the Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office in 2015. We warmly welcome students of U3As from home and abroad to come to our school to conduct various types of study tour exchange activities.
