潍坊是旅游大市，世界风筝都。有以杨家埠风筝为代表的世界非物质文化遗产，有中国唯一现存科举“状元卷”为代表的青州古城中国传统文化，有中国第一位世界诺贝尔文学奖莫言家乡的高密红高粱文化，有以寿光国际蔬菜科技博览会为代表的传统和现代蔬菜文化。世界五大洲近百个国家的风筝爱好者与潍坊结缘。
潍坊是老年教育大市。潍坊60岁以上的老年人口200余万。潍坊市老年大学是“全国老年大学示范校”、全省地市招生人数最多的老年大学、全省最大的老年大学教育联盟，在校学员5.2万人次。

There is the only traditional Chinese culture in the ancient examination in China. There is a Gaomi Red Sorghum culture in the hometown of Mo Yan, the first Chinese Nobel prize winner in the world. There are also traditional and modern vegetable culture represented by Shouguang International Vegetable Science and Technology Exposition. Kites lovers in nearly hundred countries around the world come to Weifang and are close connected with Weifang.
Weifang is a big city for the education of the aged, The population of Weifang over the age of 60 is more than 200 million. Weifang Aged University is the national demonstration school.
